Those vehicles were constructed with assistance from the manufacturers who supplied all the relevant specifications to make them. This photo shows a 1961 version of the Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder, particularly the one from the ’86 film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Yes, replicas were used in making the movie. One was destroyed during the making of the film as a part of the story. The other fake unit was auctioned off in August 2018, so it was obviously a hot commodity item.
