Beim Abnehmen geht es nicht nur um den Körper. Oft stehen wir uns mit unseren Gedanken und Anforderungen an uns selbst im Weg. Viele Menschen haben beim Abnehmen vor allem ein Schönheitsideal im Kopf, das oftmals nicht gesund und auch nicht für jeden erreichbar ist.
Für Lexi war es immer wichtig und eine Motivation, eine positive Einstellung zu sich selbst zu haben, selbst mit starkem Übergewicht. Sie sagt, es sei wichtig, an sich selbst zu glauben und die positiven Dinge zu sehen. Wer ständig an sich zweifelt und zu selbstkritisch ist, hat es viel schwerer, seine Ziele zu erreichen. Man muss sich seine eigenen Fehler verzeihen und an sich glauben.
