Grier became a known name in the industry back in the ’70s, and she found great success through her role in Quentin Tarantino’s film, Jackie Brown. In fact, the iconic director has claimed that she’s one of the first on-screen female action stars! She even received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress from the said movie.
