Er musste nur zwei Tage am Set erscheinen, aber um die Rolle eines opiatsüchtigen Soldaten darzustellen, engagierte sich Damon für den Prozess, indem er Gewicht verlor. Das Endergebnis war ein 40 Pfund leichterer Damon, der eine vorbildliche Leistung zeigte.
