Gladys Knight – Neither One of Us, gaboren 1973
Jeder, der Soul-Musik mag und schätzt, muss Gladys Maria Knight mit ihrer Band Gladys Knight & the Pips kennen. Gladys ist als “Kaiserin der Seele” bekannt, die in den 60er, 70er und 80er Jahren sehr berühmt war. Sie ist eine sehr talentierte Sängerin, Songwriterin, Schauspielerin, Autorin und auch Geschäftsfrau. Gladys hat über 7 Grammy Awards gewonnen, 4 für Solokünstler und 3 mit ihrer Band. Ihre Songs Midnight Train to Georgia und That’s What Friends Are For waren die Nummer eins in Billboard Hot 100. 1989 nahm sie für das Hames Bond, License to Kill-Titellied auf. Die Zeitschrift Rolling Stone nannte Gladys als einen der 100 größten Sänger aller Zeiten.
