Dubbed the ‘Dragon King’, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck is the reigning King of Bhutan. His marriage was an event that was celebrated across the entire nation. When Bhutan celebrated the occasion over the course of three days, workplaces and schools were closed in honor of the royalty and their nuptials. Performances of songs and dances were active across the nation. How pleasant does a nationwide celebration sound? Of course, when you have plenty of money to spend, it’s even better! The entire occasion and the public events that composed it totaled to $17 million.
