Embraer Launches Phenom 300EV With Enhanced Technology and Range

The light jet market continues to evolve, and Embraer has introduced another update to one of its most successful aircraft. The company recently revealed the Phenom 300EV, the latest version of the Phenom 300 series, which has remained the world's best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years.

While the aircraft keeps many of the strengths of the previous Phenom 300E, it also adds new flight technology, cabin improvements, and slight performance upgrades designed to improve the overall flying experience.

Improved Flight Technology

The Phenom 300EV comes equipped with a new Garmin-developed avionics suite created exclusively for Embraer. Called the G3000 Prodigy Touch, the system is based on Garmin's widely used G3000 flight deck and introduces several new capabilities.

One of its most notable additions is Emergency Autoland (EAL). This feature can automatically control the aircraft and complete a safe landing if the pilot becomes unable to fly. According to Embraer, the Phenom 300EV is the largest business jet in its class to include this technology.

The aircraft also features a new Autobrake system, which helps provide smoother and safer takeoffs and landings. Another addition is the Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC), which combines rudder-by-wire technology with other electronically controlled aircraft systems. This setup helps reduce pilot workload while also simplifying maintenance procedures.

Performance Remains Strong

The Phenom 300EV continues to hold its position as the fastest and longest-range light jet in its category. It maintains a top speed of approximately 533 mph, matching the previous Phenom 300E.

At the same time, Embraer has slightly increased both range and payload capacity. The aircraft can now travel up to 2,055 nautical miles and carry as much as 3,066 pounds, giving operators added flexibility for longer business trips.

Commenting on the latest aircraft, Embraer President and CEO Michael Amalfitano said, "For well over a decade, the Phenom 300 series has set the standard by which every light jet is measured. With the new Phenom 300EV, we are raising the bar once again."

Cabin Refinements

The cabin keeps many features from the Phenom 300E. It still offers the largest windows in its class and one of the best cabin pressurization systems among light jets. At the same time, Embraer introduced several practical updates.

Passengers will find a redesigned refreshment center, improved temperature control, a new air ionizer, and a full odorless vacuum lavatory. These upgrades improve comfort while keeping the cabin layout familiar.

Amalfitano also explained the purpose behind these changes. He said, "Through purposeful innovations combining enhanced safety technology, amplified performance, and thoughtful cabin refinements, we have introduced meaningful advancements that make flying more intuitive, seamless, and enjoyable. It is not only the evolution of the world's best-selling light jet, but a clear statement that the market leadership excellence benchmark continues to belong to Embraer."

The Phenom 300EV builds on an already successful aircraft with practical improvements in safety, technology, performance, and passenger comfort. It keeps the qualities that have made the Phenom 300 series a leader in the light jet market. Embraer expects to begin deliveries in 2028.
